toxic and disinformation propaganda
Nice complotist vocabulary. When some people have a different opinion than yours it's not propaganda, it's just a different opinion.

Are you trying to out-drama the OP?

What do you think propaganda means?

It's just the organized/proselytized form of "different opinion".

It's not even necessarily wrong or evil.

Those who want words like "propaganda" and "agenda" to be automatically negatively-connoted, are the same who want to enjoy a monopoly of their use.

Two answers, among many other ones:

Quote from: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/propaganda
information, ideas, opinions, or images, often only giving one part of an argument, that are broadcast, published, or in some other way spread with the intention of influencing people's opinions

Quote from: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda
Propaganda is communication that is primarily used to influence or persuade an audience to further an agenda, which may not be objective and may be selectively presenting facts to encourage a particular synthesis or perception, or using loaded language to produce an emotional rather than a rational response to the information that is being presented.

I think he's depressed from all the drama with ffmpeg and that's causing the discontent with everything. I don't necessarily agree with his commentary but I think it's a shame if he leaves.

By getting your account removed. Right.

Why not instead post more constructively?
You are obviously capable of that, you have over the last year improved from going full ad hominem in denial over flaws to instead reporting that you got a fix.

If someone decides they don't want to have any more to do with a forum, then it's easy enough to disable notifications and log out, no fuss necessary.
It's your privilege to disagree, but that doesn't make you right and me wrong.

The OP can make that request with a private message to an administrator.

The EU's right to be forgotten rule allows individuals to request that organizations remove and delete personal information about them from online platforms.

How much personal information is there (on the HA forum)?  Only what the user has deliberately added, apart from a few minor details when creating an account.

Deleting an account (along with any associated posts) risks corrupting discussions and information.  Anonymising the account would be more appropriate.

Indeed. Don't delete the posts since they have nothing to do with personal information. And once posted they don't belong to the anonymous (most of the times) poster anymore but to the publisher which is the forum in this case.

This forum does have a practice for guest-ifying an account, and I think they must have one. How that must be to comply with whatever legal regulations are applicable given server location blah blah blah, is way above my paygrade.

I would suggest that users rather put effort into constructively rectify whatever "disinformation propaganda" be posted, rather than this ritual whining - after all, @mycroft being present on the forum has led to fast code fixes that would otherwise be subject to a bigger bureaucracy - but that is just another opinion of mine, that is pretty much orthogonal to whatever rights a user has to divorce the forum.
