Virtual Audio Cable audio repeater settings

I am using the Virtual Audio Cable to route Wave data through to my soundcard.  I am doing this because I had recording problems using my c-media 8738 card.  I switched to dogberts drivers but these do not have a 'stereo mix' output.  Using the VAC I can record but cannot hear what I am playing or recording unless I use the audio repeater that comes with the VAC.  This works fine apart from a small time lag that I find acceptable. 

The problem I have with this is that the Audio Repeater must be set up each time the PC is restarted.

Is there any way to automate this so it autostarts with the right input and output?
