Hi Tim,
Actually, it is 1233 hours of music (51 days and 9 hours).
But 1500 drag & drop taking a few seconds each is actually more a PITA than I imagined.
The album art images are readily available, and what I'm doing is pretty straightforward to restore it to WMP:
Foreach album in WMP,
a) Go to the album's folder,
b) Drag the hidden "folder.jpg" file & Drop it on the album's cd case thumbnail
Is there anyway to automate this?
Obviously, WMP must be storing this information somewhere...
I'm a developper myself, so if you could hint me as to where the data is stored, I could write myself a little program to do it.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
Kind Regards,
Benjamin
OK, this time, I'll answer myself.
WMP being the awesome tool it is, you have to think backwards.
In order to add album art to my albums, I actually add to remove album art!
Say, for instance, I have a folder:
ABBA\The Complete Studio Recordings\Arrival
which contains
01 When I Kissed the Teacher.flac
02 Dancing Queen.flac
03 My Love, My Life.flac
04 Dum Dum Diddle.flac
05 Knowing Me, Knowing You.flac
06 Money, Money, Money.flac
07 That's Me.flac
08 Why Did It Have to Be Me.flac
09 Tiger.flac
10 Arrival.flac
11 Fernando [-].flac
12 Happy Hawaii [-].flac
13 La Reina del Baile [-].flac
14 Conociéndome, Conociéndote [-].flac
15 Fernando [Spanish Version][-].flac

If I delete the files preceded by (*), WMP will now show up the folder.jpg image automatically.
Raw awesomeness, is it not?
