Recording limitaion, Instrumental

I saw the specifications about various stage Microphones & systems, and wondering about their frequent range which are usually designed within 20-20KHz

For example, the Pipe organ in Sydney Town Hall produces from a 8 Hz (64feet pipe) pitch, to some Very High pitch (~2 cm pipe, wavelength won't be long)

Is it difficult to record the extreme notes of some Instruments ?
