Hi,

I just installed this plug-in with my fresh WIN 7, WLM and Foobar2000 V 0.9.6.9

I did put the .dll in the "components" folder in foobar, checked the display song in both Foobar and WLM. But i can't see anything on messenger.

I was just wondering if I have done something wrong or if there is a compatibility problem right now with the newest versions.

Maybe someone can spot it.

thx
Jeremy

*** EDIT ***

I found the problem, i was running WLM in "compatibility mode" to get the "notification icon of WLM". It did bug the plug in. So anyway just typing it down so it doesnt happen to anyone again

As I found the icon very annoying, does anybody know a workaround for this bug?

Updated to 1.1.5.

Moved the preferences settings to "Tools" section.
Added new custom tf tag - "%streamname%" on request. This shows the radio stream's name.

Which/what icon?

foo_wlm V1.1.5

Thanks alot. I hope you don't mind if I temporarily link it to that on the first post  - let me know if you want me to bring it down and rehost it.

The server my site was on has went down - still trying to resolve it with the webhost.

I've been using this plugin/component since Day 1, and I absolutely love it

Some fun things that could be added to it though is the ability to see if the track is currently playing, is a radiostation playing, etc ie
$if(%isplaying%,'| Now Playing',)
$if(%isshoutcast%,'| ShoutCast: %streamname%',)

Sorry if it already exists, I have no idea how this works

Hello!

It's a great component, but i have the same desire like Kyle. %isstream% is a useful idea.
Could you add $ifequal and $ifnotequal to the commands(or $if(%streamname%!='myradio'))?
Is this extension open source?

Szabolcs.

Good component, even if i think there is a problem when you click on the song being played. Why weight:+10 is added?

I'll add them when I have the time to do so..

foo_wlm 1.1.6 released

Download: Click here

1.1.6 Changelog:
  • Fixed a very rare bug when WLM would "hang" and this would affect fb2k's stability - thanks to lhavelund for reporting.
  • Limited number of updates / minute sent to 4. If you're using any timer related information in your PSM (for e.g. %playback_seconds_remaining%), note that they will only execute every ~15 seconds. This was introduced because the Messenger Protocol only allows ~8 updates/minute.
  • Introduced %isstream% TF... Usage: "$if(%isstream%, 'is stream', 'not stream')"

Cheers
:)

i can't seem to get this plugin to work... windows live asks me to install windows media player whenever i select "show what i'm listening to" is it possible to have this plugin work without having to install wmp?

i am using windows 7 64bit if that is relevant.

I think it's a requirement by WLM.
There might be a way to fake that WMP exists though, let me try and find out...

Thanks for this great plugin!

One thing though, latest version is spamming the foobar console, can this be disabled?

Thanks!

i've noticed today that this plug isnt working for me either, i think it maybe to do with using the latest windows live messenger but cant be sure.
tried using a previous version of the plug, no joy.

anyway, gwanto, have you recently updated your messenger also?
failing that, have you enabled it in preferences?
