Top or bottom frame?

Blending was basically done using transition with the █ character before and after the text.

Here's an example of where the various artists column is used. I don't have a CD cover for it yet:

Great work!

Would it be possible to add support for track info from stream radio? Works in foobar: not sure if it's a foo_looks problem or something that can be fixed in your code...

Oh, that! Heh heh, I'm very pleased with how that turned out. See, it doesn't change colors. It's one solid color (same as the background behind the text). It just appears to change color because of the surrounding colors. Just like in the below picture. The left is black, the middle is 50% gray (128,128,128) and the right is white. The dots are all the same shade of blue and you can see that they are by the lines that connect them:

WOW! NOW That is unique! Everyone else is busy with the main foobar window, but here is someone who kicked the main window out of the stage! Great job!

Only problem that the bar is not expandable horizontally. Also the playlist must expand horizontally according to how much the bar is expanded. The user should be able to expand the playlist vertically.
An additional ability to show lyrics (from LYRICS tag) will be appreciable.

It will be really helpful to someone like me with large playlists and huge laptop resolution. It would also be helpful if I could edit the way playlist items are displayed, and turn off seeking in the seek bar. That is. it should always show how much a song is played, but user shall be able to choose where clicking/dragging on it will let him seek through the song. (I get so irritated by accidental clicks and restarting of song in between)

...back again...I pretty much only changed my VS (from Luna Element to self-modded Royale Vista) and the buttons to a self-modded "Smoke Special Mini" (the colors change on hover).  The sidebar is hidden (as shown in the pics).

it's Lyx's Navigator suite, version 1.00 with some stuff from version 1.02 and little changes to suit some of my needs.

foo_looks has been around for a while, and is all about that which you're talking about. But sure, it's a nice skin.

Nice setup. I love that album! My friend let me borrow it and my favorite song is Float On, and then The World At Large. I found out that I live about 10 miles from where Modest Mouse started.

front243: I suppose it is quite a bit of work to get columns_ui to look like some of the ones shown in this thread.  The best first place to get a quick set-up is the columns_ui FAQs.  Read that and play around, then ask more specific questions and play around some more.
