Winamp 2.9 Essential Plugins

Having recently installed Winamp 2.9 on my comp to testdrive it, I have a couple of burning questions which I would need some help upon -


(1) Are the Winamp plugins included in the 2.90 distribution the latest ( as compared to PP's wa2update.plugins? )

(2) Where do I get my hands on a SSRC output plugin, prefabably Directsound?

(3) Does Trelane's latest Crossfeed plugin work in Winamp2 or Winamp3?

(4) What other recommended plugins (DSP, output and input) plugins should I get?


And please, no foobar2000 recommendations... I know its a great player and all.. but I want to use Winamp here..

It's for Winamp 2.x.

here is a list of the ultimate plugins for winamp 2.x IMHO (do a search in google to find them):
- adaptX
- Izotope Ozone + vynil (fun) plugin
- DFX 6
- MAD plugin
- mpc plugin
- WAcdr171

I would also add to the list Mp3splice (Winamp 2.x plugin)
obtainable at www.pyramidedata.dk

It overcomes the limitations of the mp3 format allowing gapless playback, and I have yet to experience a situation where it did not work properly.
