Convert wma to mp3?

Hello,
What tool do you recommend to convert my wma to mp3 in order to transfer them on my mp3 player or burn them on cd for playing them on my car? I have tried to convert with some online converters but I didn't manage. Please take into consideration that I'm not a geek in pcs or software, that's why I'd like if possible an easy way to convert those wma to mp3.
Any help appreciated.

First, you're probably aware but it's worth noting in case you aren't, transcoding from one lossy format to another is generally a bad idea, as you have multiple iterations of quality loss, and are more likely to be able to hear artifacts as a result.
That said, in your case it makes sense if you only have some audio tracks in WMA format and want to have them in mp3 as well, for the sake of hardware playback.
You should keep the original WMA files though.

Probably the best solutions for you are foobar2000 and dBpoweramp. foobar2000 is free (although you'll have to download the Lame mp3 encoder separately, get it from rarewares.org). when foobar2000 is set up properly, conversion is a simple one-click process. dBpoweramp is a paid program, but a good one, that will likely be easier for you to use.
God kills a kitten every time you encode with CBR 320

I find XRECODE easy to use.    (That link is to the old FREE version.  XRECODE II is $15 USD.)

Well, I know that converting from one format to another will affect the quality of the files, but I was thinking that not all of the converts will lose a lot.
Anyway, thanks for you suggestions but it seems that none of the tools you recommended convert my wma files. Actually, I guess that they are protected and those ones don't convert protected wma to mp3.

For protected wma you are on your own.  It is not permissible to discuss the circumvention of copy protection on this forum.

Do you have another reason to think they are copy-protected?  Where did these files come from?

I don't think anyone is currently selling copy-protected WMAs...  I don't know if anyone is selling WMAs at all...  But, if you're getting them from a music subscription service, of course they are copy-protected.

WMP can copy-protect ripped WMA files.

Well, I have got them from napster service a while ago and now I'd like to transfer them on my mp3 player or to burn them on some cds.
Anyway, a friend recommended tunebite, he said that it will surely convert my wmas to mp3 and directly burn them on cds. Anyone uses this app? As I'd like to see other opinions also because it's a paid tool and I really don't like to spend some money on something which doesn't work.

Tunebite just plays a protected file and records the output to a new file. I wouldn't pay for such a trivial function which can be done manually. It depends on how capable you feel!
