FileMaker Pro Music Library Template

If anyone is interested in using this FileMaker Pro music library template I will make it available.  Several of the custom fields use drop down lists which have a large percentage of information contained within them already.  The Label field has a lot of record labels listed in it, the Genre field has many musical categories listed in it  and the composer field has many important composer listed by period.  Any of these drop down list fields can be edited to include a new entry in the list.  This makes the task of entering information progressively easier as your information fields grow.  I realize that there are several good applications available but they did not contain the information fields that are important to me or have adequate customization options .

Some of the advantages of using FileMaker Pro:
1.Export to HTML Table
2.Export to an Excel file with customizable fields to be included
3.Export as PDF file
4.Art work is saved in a container field at full resolution and can be exported at full resuscitation to reuse if necessary
5 DAE Quick Report Area if you do not have to read the DAE log
6.Store DAE logs
7.Add fields relevant to your collection and usage patterns

I am looking for someone who may be interested in writing a frontend for the FileMaker Pro file  to display the Artist, Album Title and Album Art Work in a similar way as the Delicious Monster application.  I have contacted someone who has the programing expertise and am waiting for his reply.  If you are interested and have the programing capabilities please contact me.

FileMaker Pro Music Library Template

I know it's an old thread.  I'll reply anyone.  Maybe the poster is still hanging around here.

Next month when the updated iMac is released, I'm finally switching from Win to Mac.  The only complex move will be related to the years I tweaked an Access db to record my music collection.  But learning FileMaker Pro should be fun and at first glance appears simple.

I plan to start with the embedded Music Library database and will tweak it to meet my specific needs.

Any advice for a newbie?  In the past few years gave found any better database templates for this?  Once I dive in and start hacking the original Music Library database, they'll be no turning back.
