MP3Trim Pro

Hi,

i just downloaded an album, every track of it had a last bad frame. so i decided to let mp3trim pro try to repair it, encspot doesn't show bad last frames any more. I did this also wirh other MP3s, which had no last bad frames, but also there MP3Trim cut off some kbytes of all mp3s... s o what does it do exactly?

It removes digital silence from the start and end of MP3s

It actually can do more than that depending on how you have configured it. I don't know what the default settings are exactly but it can also:
- remove bad first (and last) frames
- remove frames with bad frame headers*
- remove ID 3 tags (don't think this is default)
- fix a number of smaller errors which I don't remember...

The first three reduces the file size, but I don't think the laste one does.

* I have actually turned this off because I think it introduces more artifacts, when listening to the file with Winamps internal decoder. I guess the best way is to mute such frames, which I think that Winamps decoder does.
