Nero WaveEditor and Lame 3.97

I am in the process of converting some flac file to mp3. I like to cut the stage banter out of live stuff using Nero WaveEditor but I am having trouble finding a plug-in for Lame 3.97. However I did find a plug-in for Lame 3.93. Does anyone have a clue how to use Lame 3.97 with Nero WaveEditor.

How about decoding to wav, then edit to another wav, then encode with the lame version of your choice?

Also, for live stuff the audio quality is probably not that good so I doubt you will ever notice a quality difference between lame 3.93 and later versions.

I still wouldn't worry too much about which version to use. Everything from 3.90.1 on are excellent.

Ok, Let me ask you this. How about taking the original flacs make edits, save the copies in flac, and batch encode them to mp3 with dbpoweramp...no S/Q hit there, huh?

Or how about using mp3cut? No quality loss there either and its just as easy as using nero's wave editing program.

Alright, I confess I'm a bit of a Nero fanboy, but I'll give mp3cut a try tonight when I get home.
