Panasonic SA-XR70? It's the latest in a good series, but prefers easy (flat) impedence loads. I don't know if it has all the features you mention, but it does works with digital input. [a href="index.php?act=findpost&pid=324724"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a] I own the XR55, which is actually the newest. I bought it for $235 from Amazon to replace the Onkyo 501 I paid $280. Using Polk RTi6 speakers. I will only comment on music, which I do in stereo mode, bi-amped by the reciever: From the 501 to this was like lifting a veil from my music. Much clearer, cleaner, and crisper. The soundstage is ENORMOUS by comparison. Highs are much more "there," for lack of a better word. Mid-range, not exactly Polk's strongpoint in my opinion, are much more articulated. At 9 lbs, I have books that weigh more. I can hold it with one hand. I'm now in a college dorm and this item is invaluable to me. I know people from AVSForums who bought 2 and are using a pre-amp with 7.1 outs, y-split, into 2 of these for 7.1 bi-amped goodness! Any questions, feel free to hit me up on e-mail. kypen.01(at)gmail.com ALSO: If you look at the product comparisons, the 1500 isn't 170 watt RMS, but dynamic. 120 watt RMS is what they claim. Would you notice a difference? Probably not.
