If you read the reviews on the same page, some criticisms were levelled which would put me off, like poor battery life and dodgy headphone socket. To be honest I think you get what you pay for, and this one's cheap for a 1Gb player, but who knows, maybe it IS a bargain. As for playing CBR and VBR files, any player ought to be able to cope with those without a problem nowadays!

It looks a familiar player though, although I can't recall what it is...I'll take a peek around and see if I can identify it. Doesn't say anywhere if it's USB 1.1 or 2, if it's 1.1 it's going to be SLOW to make transfers :-(

Edit

Does indeed look like a safecom and yes, I noticed the USB2 after I posted, sorry.
I notice it doesn't support mid-track resume, that might be annoying but you decide.

Yeah you are absolutely right!  You get what you pay for....

I mean, if it does not have a simple feature like mid-track resume, it probably cant seek through the tracks!

I think I'll give this player a miss!!!!

Thanks for the info.

Only beef would be that you have to number your mp3 files if you want them to transfer to the player in the same order thay are on the album as - doesn't seem to pay any attention to the id Tag already on them.
