winamp 5 media library hijacks APE tag info

so ive been doing some testing with ape files using winamp5 as my media player.  if i use windows explorer to drage ape files to the playlist, the tag info is displayed correctly, and all is good.

if i try to add the ape files to the media library, winamp seems to take over control of displaying the tag info.  i have the ape decoder set to show artist - cd - track - title. but if i add it to the media library, it displays artist - cd - title, and thats it. nomatter how i try to configure the ape plugin, this is what it displays always.

so i renamed the directory and removed the listing from the media library, and voila tag display has been returned to normal, and whatever i set it to in the plugin works fine.

i had a similar problem with flac files when i tried it out. it seems that both flac and ape have issues with passing meta-data to the winamp library for cataloging. anyone figured out how to get stuff to work?
