Guide: Windows Media Encoder 9 Series Encoding

I wrote a little guide on encoding music in WMA 9 lossless and WMA 9 Professional one-pass VBR at quality setting of 90 to give more or less optimal quality/size ratio, which is comparable to LAME APS.

Here is the link:
http://www.hr-netiquette.org/wma_guide/

Please, write feedback in this thread or email me...

Edit 1: Switched to WMA Pro one-pass VBR at Q90 lossy encoding instead of previously WMA Pro two-pass VBR at 192kbps. That change should give optimal quality/size ratio and should sound transparent, and give comparable bit rates to LAME APS.
Edit 2: If someone knows the way how to rip directly in WMA 9 lossless within EAC with full tag info, let me know (so I can bypass FLAC method).
Edit 3: To moderators: Please, could you remove "2-pass" part of the topic title/description since the guide now doesn't cover that?

Great guide.

Can you also please explain in your guide, the reason why we use EAC instead of Windows Media Player 9 to create WMA9 Lossless. I hope it will help someone to get rid of any doubts.

Due to no interest and lack of time I decided to delete this guide.

But, I'll make my own personal audio standard when WavPack 4.0 come out and make it available on website hopefully. Cheers.

BTW, Mcore, EAC is because of secure extraction.

That's very sad to hear.

If it was either MPC or AAC that would have been a different story.

All the best,

The problem is, your "interests" change on at least weekly basis. How about not sharing your momentary subjects of zealotry with the rest of the forum ? Or perhaps we need a new "sramov's software product of the week" forum section so you don't pollute other forums with stuff like this ?
