"mpeg stream error" - how can I fix?

I get errors like this very often after upgrading to the latest foobar version:

Code: [Select]
WARNING (foo_input_std) : mpeg stream error at 1799899 bytes, attempting resync
INFO (foo_input_std) : mpeg stream resync successful

What exactly does this mean?
Is the file corrupt or is there something wrong woth foobar2k?

If the mp3 file is corrupt: How can I fix the files and how can I avoid those errors in the future?

Thanks!

File is corrupt, and, afaik, there is no way to fix it.
