What MP3 encoder does WMP use?

I'm new to mp3 encoders. I ripped 320 kbps mp3 from CD using Windows Media Player on Win 8.1 but I can't inderstand what type of codec it uses.
I looked into MediaInfo app but it showed only: Mp3 /joint stereo. But when I put LAME mp3 file there it always shows Lame in the properties so it means WMP use something else - Fraunhofer or their own Microsoft encoder I guess.

Has Google stopped working again?

Thanks. Could you recommend me a program (max informative in your opinion) for checking which exact codec was used for specific mp3 file?

When the encoder is specified, it's in the metadata tags and can be read by anything which displays tags.  If the encoder has not been specified in a tag, then there's no way to know – there is nowhere else for the information to be.
It's your privilege to disagree, but that doesn't make you right and me wrong.

There's mp3guessenc but it's terrible as far as I know.

Also, along the same lines (i.e, deprecated/abandonware) are:

Ancient Encspot and slightly less old Audio Identifier.

Just do not expect miracles.

I didn't write about Encspot as I heard that the current mp3guessenc is way better than the one which is used in it while it was improved, but I didn't know Audio Identifier, thanks.

No worries. Those extra two were just meant to give the OP more options.

Since I haven't used them for ages, I couldn't recall which was better.

The clue is in the title: "guess"

Incidentally: shouldn't the title of this thread be "WMP uses what MP3 encoder?", or better "What MP3 encoder does WMP use?"?

Just my thoughts. As it is, it's very confusing, leading me to initially think "WTH is a WMP in an MP3 file?"

P.S. @includemeout thank you

I guessed that.  You just had the object and the subject the wrong way around, which I suppose must be normal in some languages.

That's alright. I hope you find the tools Klymins and I pointed out useful somehow.

PS: From what I've seen before, one's English level doesn't have to be Shakespeare's-like: as long as you stick to it, you'll still be TOS #10-compliant.
We only asked the moderation for the correction so that the thread's title would be a bit clearer, that's all.

Edit: PPS: In case you haven't yet, it's strongly advised you also read the rest of the above-linked TOS table and take the opportunity to get familiarized with it.
As you'll  be able to see, @CiTay‍ even delved into them in the comment section, in case one needs more clarifying.
