[Help Needed] moving foobar2000 to new PC

Hello ppl.

I bought a new PC, so I have a new system in which I downloaded and installed foobar.
In my previous system, I had made an interface that I really liked. I would like to use it in my new install as well.
I have my old Windows Hard Drive as well and I tried to copy-paste my old foobar folder to the new one but it doesn't work. I tried that when installing foobar in my laptop and it worked. But it doesn't now. I guess it is because I installed v2, but I had v1. Also i think I used to have the x32 version then but I have the x64 version now.

Any ideas/help on how to have my old interface would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Instead of "I guess" and "I think," etc. I would advise just starting from scratch with the latest x64 or x32 version of Foobar v2 (Portable) and re-doing the whole thing.  This doesn't take as long as you would think and lets you find new features and settings you never knew were available, as well as weed out plugins that do not work anymore in the new SDK and replace them with ones that do.

If that's not acceptable, you could export the theme of your old installation (Preferences/Display/Default User Interface/Theme managment/Export Theme), then use the Import Theme feature on the new install.  If you choose the latter, you're best off doing the new install the same way as the old one (i.e. regular or portable version) and find out for certain (and use) the original architecture (32 or 64 bit). A fast and free way to determine the latter on any executable/dll is with Sigcheck (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/sigcheck).

        Product:        foobar2000 Application
        Prod version:   2.2.0.0
        File version:   2.2.0.0
        MachineType:    64-bit
        Binary Version: 2.2.0.0
        Original Name:  foobar2000.exe

Thanks for the reply. I didn't mention that the reason I have a new PC is because my old one stopped working. So there is no way to export the old theme or check my old version :(
I guess those settings would be found in a folder or something and that is why I asked...

If you want your old layout working, you should install the 32bit version of fb2k v2 on your new pc. Then it really should be as simple as copying the contents of your %appdata%\foobar2000 folder from the old PC to %appdata%\foobar2000-v2 folder on the new PC.

This is assuming a standard install.

If it were portable, just copy the whole fb2k folder. I'd assume most people would realise that without asking. :P

If you really want to consider moving to 64bit, you'll need to dig out a list of old components and check if there 64bit updates available. There is no automated way of doing that.

Already tried that with no luck :/

Ended up re-making the theme (or at least what I remember) using scratchbox.
I had an element that would show all my library either by artist or album or genre.
That is the only thing I couldn't find. :/

You may have been using foo_facets? It still works on fb2k v2 (32bit only) but there is no dark mode support because it hasn't been updated since forever.

fb2k v2 does have a built in alternative called ReFacets but it's not as complete feature wise. You can certainly try it. It might be good enough but a common complaint is the lack of album art thumbnails.

Thank you, it might be that. It certainly rings a bell
I already checked tried ReFacets, but it doesn't look like the one I remember. So I tweaked it somehow.

I am so glad for the help and your time!
