how do I disable case sensitivity in a database search?

how do I disable case sensitivity in a database search? Writing and filters are common, as well as the / The of / Of etc the search does not give both options

What exactly do you mean "database search"?  I use the DUI library search on a regular basis and have not noticed a problem with case sensitivity (1.16).
It's your privilege to disagree, but that doesn't make you right and me wrong.

In particular, I use the library tree, with these settings the extension cannot be found at different capitalizations

[%album artist% - ]['['%date%']' ]%album%|[[%discnumber%.]%tracknumber%. ][%track artist% - ]%title%

But I believe that this extension is not related to sensitivity, but uses global player settings

This is something new for me, for my purposes, please tell me to uncheck or uncheck it (the checkbox was in the settings)

I'm experimenting with the settings - nothing good happens, that's what I'm looking for in lowercase - one track from the album, although all tags are spelled out the same - the artist is everywhere

Is that mis-spelling deliberate?  If it isn't, that might be why you didn't get the hits you expected.
It's your privilege to disagree, but that doesn't make you right and me wrong.

it's not that intentional, I just type without a shift in lowercase as it suits me - the result is like this (((

So when you're looking for "Before The Dawn", but your search is for "before the down"... that's OK is it?
It's your privilege to disagree, but that doesn't make you right and me wrong.

If the case matches the spelling in the tags, then - OK, it's worth changing "The >>> the" and there is no result

Disabling the asymmetric search achieves exactly that - search becomes case insensitive. Did you say you use some third party library search tool? If it doesn't work that way, it may need fixing.

I think you're missing my point: "dawn" <> "down"

hell, yes, you're right in a certain example, but the search is case sensitive! The example was given unsuccessfully, but otherwise never looks for registers

There's a bit of an ESL barrier here, but as several respondents have already pointed out, search strings in foobar are not case sensitive if/when your search string is in lower case letters. Searches or filters with "der", "die", or "das" will (and always have) return(ed) "der / Der", "die / Die" or "das / Das". Try it yourself in Media Library Search window from the menu's Library ->Search or from the media library's Album List component. Be advised, if your search or filter is the opposite way around, in upper case, searching DER, DIE or DAS will only return fully capitalized results.

If your search issues are different from that in your Media Library Search window, continue to reply here - but if you are experiencing search issues different from that in the JScript Media Library viewer component, you might have better success asking in this thread
Neither an audiophile, nor album snob. Why do ratings threads always have a poster saying 'I don't believe in rating music'?

wow, this is new to me, probably it is. But it wasn't obvious. It turns out - you need to enter everything in capital letters, then there will be no error. Sometimes I copy from the browser in capital letters and paste it into the search - then an error occurs
