EAC can't find CD metadata at MusicBrainz even though CD is on MusicBrainz

I have EAC 1.5 running on a Win7 machine and most of the time MusicBrainz works great for retrieving the metadata.  However occasionally there will be a CD (Zakk Sabbath - Vertigo is the most recent example, but Big Wreck - 7.1 is another) where EAC will come back with nothing from MusicBrainz (and also CTDB).  However I go to MusicBrainz and the CD is entered on the website with all of the information.  Thankfully I was able to get the metadata from gnudb.gnudb.org, but it doesn't make sense to me why it can't retrieve metadata that is in the database.

Because it searches by the TOC, and if it's different print, it won't recognize it.

edit: MusicBrainz discid's are created using the information from the TOC of the CD
Same for the other example by the OP

CTDB has a MusicBrainz entry stored for Big Wreck - 7.1 (relevance 82% from a fuzzy search, not a discid match) http://db.cuetools.net/lookup2.php?version=3&ctdb=1&metadata=extensive&fuzzy=1&toc=0:24772:44230:65499:90459:117550
However I don't know if this CTDB entry matches the TOC of the OP's CD. If not the CUETools DB plugin wouldn't find it.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I'm still trying to figure all of this out.  I added the Disc ID for Big Wreck 7.1 using Picard then EAC was able to pull in the metadata.
