What android app to access to Windows foo upnp server over internet.

Hello,

I have fobbar2000 on my home computer with the UPnP / DLNA plugin configured (https://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_upnp). I can easily access the music library via the Internet using another computer from foobar2000.

However, I would like to do the same with an Android smartphone.
No problem if both devices (windows foo server and android client) are on the local network. However, I can't find an android application that can connect to this server over the internet from anywhere in the world.

Could someone suggest a solution for me?

You want a separate solution which allows you to join your home network securely across the internet. You'll have to do some research on this as you can achieve this in many ways and will depend on the gear you already have. Look up how you can create a VPN for yourself. Then, from the perspective of the media server and your phone, it'll be as if you never left the network and everything will work as usual.

An unsecure alternative is forwarding the media server port towards the internet on your router so everyone can access it. Again you can do some research on this, the term is port forwarding. But I wouldn't recommend it.

I think I have tried it before but it didn't work. I write "probably" because I wanted to make this connection (win foo -> android) a long time ago, then the matter stopped and now it came back to me again. I am not sure if my internet provider has blocked the possibility of establishing VPN connections. I will look for relevant information and make further attempts.

This way I have a connection between my home computer and the computer at work where I use the home music library. I know it's not the best way but it works and I didn't have any problems with it. In total, I could use it to connect to the phone, but I did not find the application in which I could enter the address of my server, login and password.

I managed to start stream through the android browser by entering http://<login>:<password>@<ip>:<port> as the address but this is only listening to what is currently playing foobar at my home. And that's not what I mean.
