Swinsian on mac (Catalina) - Tag issues

Hi there,
I am having issues with track order for individual albums. Once I have an album imported the songs end up in alphabetical order and not the order as to how the album was released.
Note : The tracks do end up in their correct order only if their tags have their tracks numerised.
Hope that made sense.
Can anyone help me rectify this nuisance? Have a look at the screenshot provided from my library.
regards,
doc70

Can you get the TRACK in the grid and sort it?

What do you mean by getting it in the grid?

I don't think so...I cannot drag the tracks to their respective album order (as to how it was released originally).
Right-click on one track, no option to "sort". Same when I select all.

forgive me here, I may not have a grasp of the terms you suggest to me nor have I ever reconfigured a UI.

I'm also new to this program having used iTunes for the last ten years and since it no longer exists I wanted to go with something else on my 2019 MBP.

I'm a Windows guy, but...

Normally the player gets the track number from the tags/metadata and you should be able to sort or select by any of that information (title, artist, track number, album, year, genre, etc.).

If the track number (or other metadata) is missing, according to this page there is a tag editor.

Ok, so I do not get the same window as displayed in your link on Swinsian's site (unless it's well hidden, I'm 99% certain that I toured all the window options in from the top drop down menus. I also toured all the windows in the program's preferences and had a good look in the Tags and Library windows.

Sorry folks, I'm experimenting with this site's message attachment options.

After I click "Save New Tags", nothing happens...

Fixed it.
Clicked on the "Track No." box and all the tracks went into their actual album order. In fact, my entire library was "fixed", not just the one album displayed here.

Thank you for your time and patience, Roseval and DVDdoug.
