Can I make foobar2000 override Windows 7 volume mixer?

I always turn up volume to 100% (Windows 7 volume mixer master volume) when listening music through foobar2000 because I often listen to it loud and when I'm not foobar has very natural volume changing slider unlike Windows 7.
When I want to do something else, like watch some YouTube videos, I have to turn Windows 7 volume down again.

my question is: Is there some kind of plugin or something so changing Windows 7 volume mixer master volume wouldn't affect foobar's max volume?

foobar's volume slider is the same as the one in the Windows 7 mixer.

I think the real question is: why is your foobar so much quieter than other sources, like youtube? Have you scanned replaygain for everything? That would make most music quieter. If so, you can set preamp to turn the whole deal back up.

I also have everything in windows and foobar set to 100%, control volume with my amplifier/receiver, and I don't have any significant discrepancy between foobar and everything else.

Thanks for the replay!
foobar2000 is not quieter than everything else. It's just quiet because I want it to be louder than everything else and the fact I seek for CD pressings which are not victims of loudness war and have dynamic range doesn't help either.
There is component called WASAPI which mutes everything else when foobar is playing music. I'm wondering if there's component like that which overrides mixer so changing mixer master volume affects everything except foobar.
Component like that would be perfect for me. Or if there's way to change some settings with Registry Editor or something in Windows do get the same effect.

use foo_out_asio! you have always 100% windows mixer output but it mutes some (not all) other audio-sources while playing.

How about permanent change of proportions in Windows mixer? I always decrease volume of Firefox, Flash Player, etc. to make foobar loudest app in the mixer. Foobar is at 100%, rest is at 30-50%. Then I can play ReplayGained tracks in foo and other soruces at similar perceived loudness levels - I don't even have to change analog volume of my speakers set. Also if I change volume in foobar (to ca 70%) I can still switch between Firefox/YouTube and foobar without necessity to dial the knob of speaker set controller (mostly)...

Maybe you can use Equalizer APO together with PC Equalizer GUI (both apps are free under GPL), and leave equalizer flat, while modifying only Preamp and trying to assign certain (Preamp) settings with certain application...  Maybe I am wrong here if you can achieve what you need, but that's only thing that comes to my mind...

I know but that's to many programs to adjust volume and I don't want to leave their volume at certain level for all time. I'd rather change volume on my AV receiver for now because it would be big mess trying to change each programs volume separately every time.

BTW I also don't want to mute other audio sources while playing. I knew about that. Thanks anyway for suggestion.
