foobar2000 can't open files

hello! I have been a foobar2000 for a long time. I have a little problem: if I double-click a track or if I drag-and-drop it to foobar2000 window... Nothing happens!
However I can open audio tracks using file/add files/folder... But it should be better if I was able to do it double-clicking tracks :D
I made a video: as you can see, there aren't messages in console...

Thanks in advance ;)

If you're running foobar2000 as admin then don't.

Are you running foobar2000 with admin rights? drag and drop won't work if you run foobar2000 with admin rights.

You might try checking security/access properties of config directory or its parent directory. Resetting access worked for me when I had this problem. Not an expert but I think it was related to "inheritance" feature of Win 7 - when folders affect each other or sth like that.

I deleted foobar2000 folders from Program files and AppData and re-installed the program. Now everything is working. Unfortunely I haven't found the issue... It could have helped developers to improve the software  :'(

Hello,
I have the same issue. I can't drag and drop, nor add files from the menu (add files/folders) from an external device-my phone. Even though the mp3 files on it have the foobar2000 file association, I can't double click/enter them and play them, it opens wmp instead. Also, when I right click on them, the standard menu doesn't appear, instead I get this: (not this: ).
I swear I've played audio files off my phone in foobar before.

Try mounting your phone as a Mass Storage device, not MTP. Hope that helps...

Ah, yes, that's what I found out to be the problem. However, I'm using a Nexus 5 (which runs Android 6.0.1) so it only supports MTP and PTP. I used to have an old Nokia phone (the aforementioned one) which I remember my computer recognized as a mass storage device. : <

Edit: And even if I use some sort of streaming app/software, it doesn't support flac files. (I think this is off-topic, though). Sorry, it seems I was under the misunderstanding I had the same problem as OP.
