APE CUE sheet not working with Monkey's Audio

Hi,
I'm using foobar2000 v1.2.4 beta 3 with Monkey's Audio Decoder 2.1.6.
I can decode ape files but it doesn't understand the cue sheet, it shows a single big file.
If the ape file is album.ape the cue sheet is album.ape.cue or album.ape. It works with wavpack/flac.

This is one of the CUE sheets, as you can see the extension in FILE is correct:

What's the problem?

If I open the cue file directly it works flawlessly, but if I put the album in the media library it doesn't use the cue (like if it opened the ape file instead of the cue). The same if I put the album in a rar archive. with flac/wavpack albums it doesn't behave such a way.

Sorry, same problem with a flac album (I didn't notice it had an embedded cue sheet).

File Types

These settings allow you to make Media Library selectively index only files matching some criteria within the folders you specified above.

For an example, the "exclude" option is commonly used to exclude cuesheets present in your album folders from being indexed, as shown on the screenshot.

A shot in the dark, but the media library is set by default to exclude Cue files. Have you changed that?

EDIT: db1989 beat me to it.

Yes I removed *.CUE, I also tried cuefilter plugin but it doesn't work.

after changing the exclusions, did you right click the folders and re-scan now? i'm not sure if this is required but it won't hurt.

also the cuefilter should filter out the ape file that is referenced in the cue. without it, the media library would show the tracks as listed in the cue and the single file as well.

Doesn’t foo_cuefilter apply only to adding files to playlists, not to scanning the Media Library? I mean, it is called “CUE Playlist Filter”, after all…

in that case i do apologise for the misinformation.

No, I honestly can’t say for sure as I haven’t tested it, so maybe I’m wrong  but I was just going on the basis of the name and description on the website, which don’t mention the Library and portray an entirely playlist-specific function.

i haven't tested it either but i thought i had vague re-collections of posts gone by. but given your description i think i was mistaken.

i suppose you could set the ape files as hidden in explorer to prevent the media library showing them

edited because my previous suggestion was rubbish

If there is no way to handle a CUE sheet in foobar2000 I will simply embed it
