I love the synth on that song; the way it basically just "phases" (not a technical term) from one place to the next.

I would say "La Femme D'Argent" (from the same album) is more reminiscent of summer for me though.

Edit: Le Voyage de Penelope is one of my favourites on that album though.

hm... i just listened to "La Femme D'Argent" again. you're right. that one is more summerish

Hey, let's have both.

I thought of one: Talking Heads' album, Naked; most specifically "(Nothing But) Flowers" and "Totally Nude".

David Byre is generally good in summer I think. His album Rei Momo is nice as well (all latin rhythms).

The album Comfort In Sound is magic. Wouldn't consider that track particularly summery though.

"Sunshine and love" by Happy Mondays. Not exactly your tipical lucious summertime theme, but hey it has sunshine in the title, so I guess it'll still qualify

I am not into this kind of music (i prefer songs about death and darkness ) but the following ones are quite good (maybe too 'mainstream', but as i mentioned i'm usually listening something else)

Don Henley - Boys of Summer (my favourite)
Air - All I Need
Jon Secada - Just Another Day (Without You)
Charles & Eddie - Would I Lie To You (maybe these two guys are called differently, i can't recall it right now)
Richard Marx - Right Here Waiting (some good memories with this song )

and yes, David Gilmour's latest album seems to be a good choice for a quiet hot summer night with a glass of good whiskey and a cigar

the isolated score (soundtrack) to "the big blue" always reminds me of spring/summer for some reason

Another, and I'll admit it - I'm a product of the 80s, is:

It just rocks, can't help it.
