Experiencing Music

I'm working on a school project about the human hearing and need some articles for orientation. In the project I basically want to include/explain the following specific questions:

- How does sound get in our brain? (biological aspect)
- How can we predict rythm and melody (what part of the brain has to deal with this?)
- How do we experience music?
- Do certain sorts of music address specific parts of the brain?

Could anyone help me with some articles on these subjects? Preferably in Dutch or English...

Read a little from David Robinson

Thanks, it looks like David has written some articles that are quite useful for me. Does anybody else have some suggestions? Some more biological oriented articles perhaps??

If you have access to a good university library (or other research library), the reading list for the Harvard Institute for Music & Brain Science's "Psychology 987b: Music, Mind, & Brain" course has quite a few good references to journal articles on a variety of related topics.  It can be accessed here: http://neuro-trials1.mgh.harvard.edu/brain...edreadings.html
