Program/guide to encode to HE-AAC

Hello again.

I want to transcode a bunch of my FLACs to NERO HE-AAC. But I don't understand a bit of these new encoder and it's options (I have never got past the presets on other encoders)

Is there a guide somewhere, and a program to batch encode and tag?

I know there are quite a few frontends but I do not know which one is best and how is it supposed to be used.
