problem with new Nero Vision Express

I've been using mostly Clone DVD; so not sure if just related to newest update- but I think it is the case. Using NVE 2.1.2.12 (Recode 2) I discovered after ripping 2 DVD's to file and burning with Nero- no closed captioning. Tried both my Plextor PX708A and my cheap Lite-On DVD-ROM. Tried a clean install after realized usual installing over last version didn't get me the closed captioning.

I did try playing the files with Power DVD- still no CC. When I tried ripping with Clone DVD- no problem at all. Should I assume there is a problem with the latest update of NVE and Recode 2? Just thought someone would want to know about it. Thanks- cadabra3
