Where did my tags go?

I created detailed tag information for a large number of Flac files. The folders in which the files were contained was moved, now the tags are gone. Does foobar not embed the information directly into the file?
I have not edited or modified the files in any way, replaygain was applied before I created the tags, replaygain therefore cannot be blamed for the problem.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Have you tried reloading the infos from the files? Or have you (accidentally?) enabled "Block tag update operations" from Preferences|Database?
