Foobar 2000 + Shoutcast ?

hello,
I got a question. I am a moderator of an online radio and at the moment I am using Winamp 2.83 with the Shoutcast Plugin. Because I don't really like Winamp I want to know if there is also a plugin for foobar2000 which does the same like Shoutcast. I found a plugin calles "oddcast" or sth. like that, but the problem is oddcast creates a *.ogg file and I need a plugin to join an audio-stream and then it has to create a listen.pls.
I hope und understand my little English
greetings,
icefrog

From your post I assume you want to stream MP3 to a Shoutcast server with FB2K as the source.  If you look at the configuration of Oddcast a little more, you'll find it can use LAME to create an MP3 stream and can connect to a Shoutcast server.

You need to put Oddcast in your DSP array (from Prefs) so that it gets audio data to stream over.

Download ShoutCast:

http://www.shoutcast.com/downloads/sc1-9-5...9-5-windows.exe

Edit sc_serv.ini in %ProgramFiles%\SHOUTcast to your liking.

And run shoutcast server gui from your start menu.

Download Oddcast Plugin:

http://www.oddsock.org/tools/oddcastv2_foo...foo_v2.0.14.exe

Or if u dont like version 2 then get version 3.

http://www.oddsock.org/tools/oddcastv3/odd...oobar_3.0.4.exe

Download Lame:

http://www.rarewares.org/files/mp3/lame3.97a8.zip

Extract lame_enc.dll from the zip file to %ProgramFiles%\foobar2000\

Now run foobar and Open Foobar Preferences And Go To PlayBack > DSP Manager and then added Oddcast V2 from available DSPS to Active DSPs.

Now you should see a nice new icon in the system tray. Double click it.

Cofing to your liking and then click connect.

If its working correctly it will look like this:

[a href="http://img88.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img88&image=ftpserver9zs.png" target="_blank"] 320kbps should not sound like crap. So something is up.

Guess its the lame file? Maybe its wrong or do I have to reencode all the mp3s?

Fixed: Bad DSPs. Just make the only active dsp be Oddcast to start with and move on from there. Not sure which one broke it for me yet but its one of them.

Problem Number 2:

<03/07/05@02:16:40> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<03/07/05@02:16:40> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (we do not currently list servers not streaming MP3 or NSV)

So how to make it list. I am playing mp3 so wtf. And even got 1 listener and working fine.
God Bless U.S.A

That error means that Oddcast is not passing the right content-type header to the server.  Click on Config and make sure if is audio/mpeg (I think).  You can also see the content type on the server status page.
