1.1.13: volume control ineffective; plays at 100% regardless of slider

Hi I upgraded to the latest fb2k yesterday and am having odd issue with volume control. My songs always play at 100% volume regardless of where the slider is. I can confirm it was working perfectly fine before the upgrade.

Running on Win7 x64, only have columns UI as an additional component.

What does it say under Prefs > Playback > Output : Device ?

It had no device selected, but I selected my speakers and now volume is working. Thanks, weird it got changed for some reason.

Same thing happened to me on upgrading to 1.1.13 on win7

And by that, do you mean that you were able to fix the problem in the same way?

Same thing happened to me when i installed 1.1.13 over my previous 1.1.11 install had to change the output device since it didn't have anything selected. It was always at max volume even when set to 0%
