could not update tag message

hi! maybe someone can help me. (and sorry for my bad english)
I use .cue files to play lossless file. sometime after playin' in foobar I find some cue files with internal changes (for example I write in the cue files "heavy metal" and after I found only heavy metal without "").
so I change the properties of the cue files in read only, but now I have this message: Could not update tags file is read-only.
How I can disable this message or the update tags?

To disable message try: preferences\advanced\playback and untick show error message popups.

To stop the update of tags during playback, you need to find out which plugin is trying to update the tags. One common type that may do this is the play count plugins - these can usually be set to write to a database instead.

foobar2000 itself does not modify files without user action (like applying changes in file properties dialog). But there are many optional plug-ins which update tags. You could look through your list of components to see if you can spot anything, or remove them one by one until the problem disappears. Or in the preferences you can copy the names of your components by choosing copy report and paste them here to see if anyone can spot a possible offender.

There is or was also at least one offending user interface theme which used a scripted play counter that writes updates to file tags, is enabled by default, and requires hand editing the offending script to toggle a configuration setting near the top.

I disable this:
foo_playback_custom

and the message disappear!

what is the fuction of this component?

Why ask us? You have it installed. Why have it, if you do not know whether or not you need it?

Then again, it looks as though you have installed almost every component you could find. Or perhaps, as kode54 suggested, you downloaded a bundle/theme whose underlying logic (or the lack thereof) you were not (made) aware of.

This is a good example of why you should try to create your own installation, with only the things that you need.
