Any AAC encoder except Nero supporting bitrates higher than 320 kbps? Does it exist?

Vorbis at q10 has a nominal bitrate of approximately 500kbps. If you're aiming high bitrates, you might as well use lossless.

Haha! Got me there. Sorry I really have to read the entire question the next time.

I almost answered as you and Bourne did (MPC and OGG, and was also going to include Lame's free format), but noticed the forum that LitteL chose for his post.

However, I'm pretty sure the original post has been edited to reflect Sebastian's question and did not specify AAC beforehand.

EDIT: Added quote since audioadam got his post in before mine.

Well, whatever. Will use more precise topics next time.

I'm interested only in AAC and because i'm having problems with Nero AAC encoding technique on my music player i am searching for any alternative solutions.

I have to give you props for actually paying attention to which forum to use when posting.  So many people are absolutely oblivious to this.  It runs the other way as well, I think people often respond to a post without paying close attention to either the forum, the title, or the first post.  I know I've been guilty of doing this in the past.

So you're having trouble with Nero at high bitrates?  It seems that most people's trouble is with the higher complexity used at low bitrates.

Here is a list of encoders. It does not state what the minimum and maximum bitrates it can achieve are, however.

Wiki Page

If the music player you are having trouble with is a portable music player, it might be that it only supports iTunes encoded AAC. (Some people have reported difficulty playing Nero AAC, despite the fact that the developers tell us that Nero AAC does not break the spec in any way, while iTunes encoded AAC play fine.) That being said, if the music player you are using is portable, it might be wiser to choose a lower bitrate setting, so that you can fit more music on there.

Please take a look at this post: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....howtopic=57805#
There shouldn't be any problem playing AAC files encoded by Nero encoder. If there is a problem please report it and it will be fixed.
