Version 1.4 and layout editing mode.

it's no big deal but I thought I'd report it. Enabling layout editing mode causes some of the UI elements to have blue borders. Initially I thought it only effected tabbed UI elements, but when I brightened up the blue in the second screenshot to make it easier to see, I discovered they're everywhere. When layout editing mode is disabled, they disappear.

It it by design? Foobar2000 v1.3 doesn't do it.

Cheers.

As far as I remember it was already reported, but can't say if answer was issued. Please search forum for "layout editing" to check if Case or Peter have commented on this.

It's normal but I can't find any discussion to definitely answer why it is that way. It certainly makes it easy to see you are in layout edit mode and highlights the borders one can adjust. Pretty sure it's just usability improvement.

I must have skipped over the section mentioning blue borders in the changelog. ;)

When you say it's a usability improvement, I assume that's when running fb2k on an operating system with a retarded interface, or a "flat design", or whatever it's called? I ask only for information, because I'm still on XP so I don't know for sure.

I don't know why your screenshots look the way they do. It's definitely an improvement on Windows XP for me:

The UI when not editing layout (using normal XP style):

The UI when editing layout:

And the edit mode in classic style:

I see immediately the component borders and know where I can for example right click for locking sizes.

I guess the borders are behaving normally.

I deliberately cranked up the blue in the second screenshot to make it easier to see against the black background, not knowing if the borders were intentional. I did the same again with a fresh fb2k portable installation, just to see, but this time the penny dropped. When I replaced the original blue with a brighter blue, the "tolerance" for replacement was set quite high in the image program, so I assume I was causing anything close to the original blue to become light blue. I'll give myself an idiot of the day award for that one.

This time for the second screenshot, I replaced the dark blue with a lighter blue again, but with the "tolerance" set to a much lower level. Doh!
