Here it works BUT it does not detect my Blu-Ray drive at the intel SATA, only my old Plextor that is attached over IDE->SATA adapter at my ASmedia controller. You may have to fiddle with some ASPI driver then. I didn't try much.
Is troll-adiposity coming from feederism?
With 24bit music you can listen to silence much louder!

Thanks.  I'm coming from a system I built quite a few years ago with the first gen i7, and the Biostar MB I used did have IDE, and I used a very good Plextor drive that I like very much.

I guess I'll have to give it a try Burrrn on this 8.1 system and just see.

I also hate to not use this Plextor drive again, it was and still is an excellent drive and worked very good with EAC and Burrrn.  If I remember correctly I did some setting in EAC for it that optimized it for ripping.  But Burrrn worked very good with it as well.  But I'm retiring that system for the time being because the MB has USB issues.  If I can find another working MB for the i7 860 that also has IDE and SATA I'll revamp that system.

But for the now I'm hoping to get a new Dell I have with Windows 8.1 setup to at least burn CDs.  I've read that EAC works with 8.1.

I'm interested in the IDE to SATA adapters.  But I've heard that they don't always work perfectly like it sounds yours does not either.

Just tried Burrrn and get this message for each file:
ERROR: Cannot open audio file "C:/Users/MyName/AppData/Local/Temp/burrrn_temp/01_01 - Shower The People.wav": No such file or directory
ERROR: C:\Program Files (x86)\Burrrn\burrrn.toc:6: Cannot determine length of track data specification.

I also installed and tried ImgBurn and it does not even recognize my FLAC files. When I go to the folder from within ImgBurn there is nothing there.

Well I could not get ImgBurn or Burrrn to work with my new Windows 8 OS PC.

So I saw a deal for Nero Classic 2015 at the store and Burning ROM works perfectly, way faster than Burrrn was.

I used to use Nero 6 which was good, then went to  Nero 9/10 which was not so good.  Thought I'd give the new Nero a chance again, and it works great.  Very happy that I got it.

well im not sure if it works, but you could try to replace cygwin + cdrdao with these: http://www.student.tugraz.at/thomas.plank/index_en.html
also replace all codecs & you should end up with a fresh burrrn.

Thanks I may try that just to see.  But as of now the new Nero 2015 I installed works fantastic and has way more options that Burrrn did and is way faster with a much more user friendly interface.
