Scanning Multiple Audio Files for Errors

I have several audio files (in numerous different formats) that I should be able to scan for errors. Naturally, I do not have time to listen to each file one at a time to discover the errors. Therefore, I believe I need a program with which it would be possible to scan all those files for errors in one go. (I believe this is referred to as "bulk or batch processing".) I have already found some programs for this purpose but their drawback is that they can only scan .mp3 files. In addition to all the .mp3 files, I have many .flac, .ogg, and .wma files as well (to mention a few formats).

The program doesn't have to use any sort of GUI; it can be a command-line-based program. Besides, since I can use Cygwin, it doesn't matter if the program uses commands which cannot be understood by the good ol' Windows Command Prompt a.k.a. "cmd.exe" (and in case I run into problems, I have Ubuntu installed as well).

By the way, I know that "error" is an ambiguous word in this context. However, I really mean all kinds of errors (file integrity, and some more specific errors in the audio files etcetera). You could compare this to several video processing utilities which have similar features that can be used in order to scan video files for errors. For example, VirtualDub has a feature called "scan video stream for errors" which scans the file for unreadable frames. Similarly, the program I'm looking for would scan the "audio stream" for errors (unreadable bytes?).

(Common sense tells me that there is no fool-proof way of finding every single error, but my goal is to find at least "some sort of program" with which I could scan my audio files for errors.)

Maybe a utility called AudioTester could be useful for you. It was made by the developers of VUPlayer and can be found here

This is what I do to my music before it makes it into my permanent library.
