Keyboard Shortcuts to enable/disable DSP's

Hi folks, I'm looking for an easier way to mixdown L+R channels to Mono and switch back to stereo with ease, rather than going through preferences > DSP all the time.
Also, it would be appreciated if there were also a way to have either the left or right tracks to be mixed into Mono.
I'm sure it's possible, thank you & appreciate any replies. 

Edit: Nevermind, I've just finally figured out how to bind a shortcut to downmix channels to mono, but however, I still would like the option to choose either left or right to be mono, any suggestions?
