Is there an online CD database where I can search for barcodes?

I'm wondering if there's one useable source. The only database I know which has UPC/EAN codes is Discogs.org, but the problem with it is, that people format the codes wrong. They add whitespace or even dashes where the start, mid and end bars seperate the numbers on the printed barcode. This makes it impossible to search for the actual UPC/EAN numbers since all scanners do not add whitespace, only padding zeroes in case of sshorter UPC codes.
