Mac to Dynaudio Air

Hi,

Can anyone explain to me in real simple terms how you would connect a Mac (either iMac or Mac Pro) to a pair of Dynaudio Air monitors using the AES/EUB XLR digital input and not the analog XLRs?

Thanks,

Monty

The iMac has 3 digital audio outs, Toslink, USB and Firewire.
If none of these are supported by the AIR, you need a protocol converter from any of these outputs to AES/EBU
In case of a Pro you can insert a sound card having AES/EBU output.
You might have a look at brands like Lynx or RME.

Thanks - the Dynaudio Airs accepts AES/EBU digital input, so looks like Mac Pro and sound card.

Don't rule out the iMac: there are FireWire audio interfaces with AES/EBU output.
