newbie - tips on getting a specific config?

Hi!

I'm trying to move from Winamp because Foobar seems lighter and more multilingual.

But after a good many hours of browsing, reading, installing components... I don't manage to get a configuration I want - which would be close to what I have in Winamp:

always on screen:
- play/pause etc controls (obviously)
- a playlist & playlist picker (I'm cool with the not-one-main-playlist idea.)

available as pop-ups (by clicking something or by keyboard shortcut):
- 'verbal' music library with choice of genre/artist/album/song (and ideally some stats, eg number of songs in an album)
- visual library showing album covers (i.e. a grid of covers with maybe the album name and artist for each)
(those two could be combined in some fashion)

There should be a quick way to select individual songs, albums, or artists from either the verbal or the visual library and drop these into a chosen playlist.

Is there an explanation somewhere to get such a setup?
Or prefab configs that do the above?

Thank you very much!
