Flash MP3/AAC Player/Recorder Recommendation

Hi guys,

can someone suggest good mp3/AAC player with line in recording capabilities, 1GB or 512MB.We'll use it for recording our live gigs.I had a look at iRiver models and they look promising but any other suggestion is welcome. My personal choise of compression format is AAC, but the other members of the band want to go with mp3 only.I'm not shure if there is any portable player that supports AAC recording on the fly. We'll have to go & get one by the end of this week coz on saturday we've got a gig. We're in OZ land so any cheap/good buys/deals are welcome.
Thanks up front

Couldn't find any dap capable of AAC recording, but my 1GB Creative ZEN Nano Plus performs decently w/ line-in to MP3 (I use it @ 160 Kbps when I'm lazy to convert LP's and listen the product on it only, not the PC or the HT).
WavPack 5.7.0 -b384hx6cmv / qaac64 2.80 -V 100

Tnx. for the reply DARcode  . I had a look at the Zen today. To be honest I'd like to stay away from Creative  products.
Over the years we used to record our live gigs on a laptop & it works very good.
IMHO listening to the live performance after a gig,  is the BEST way to improve your on stage performance.
These days I'm more into some quick solutions, maybe just a splitting the track in separate ones and that's it.
Line In to MP3 @ ~170 should be good enough, after all it is just for a short listening test, it is not a production record.
Does anyone know a bit more about the quality of the encoder in the daps?

If you'd consider a multitrack (8-tracks) digital recorded that records losslessly to WAV and uses CF cards for storage - and will run on batteries - you would want the Fostex MR-8 or similar.
