Incorrect movie length after encoding

Just finished encoding a 2 hour movie.  When I play it in MPC, the blackback time is only around 1 hour?  When I try forwarding the movie it just freezes !!!

Does anyone know why.  Can this corrupted DivX file be corrected ?

Not sure of the cause of the problem but often opening the file in vdub and making a copy using direct stream copy can help fix files.

Thanks for the info.  I'll try that next time it happens.
