Text Tools (foo_texttools) Newbe Question

Hi,

This is my first post, I have been using Foobar 2000 for a few years to hold all my music Cd's  and a some downloads.

Program works great. I am a novice when it comes to coding.

I would like a printout showing all the albums I have ripped into Foobar.
like this:
ARTIST "A"
          Album # 1
          Album # 2

ARTIST "B"
          Album # 1
          Album # 2
          Album # 3

I found an old post that had something like what I need:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>" old post " >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

i use this for copying the content of my entire library (just albums:)

Track List:
Code: [Select]
'['%date%']'%album% // $ifequal($strcmp(%codec_profile%,CBR),1,%bitrate% ,)%codec_profile%
Group Header:
Code: [Select]
%album artist%
This will result in a list like this:
Code: [Select]
Audioslave
[2002]Audioslave // VBR V0
[2005]Out Of Exile // VBR V0
[2006]Revelations // VBR V0

Autechre
[1993]Incunabula // VBR V0
[1994]Amber // VBR V0
[2001]Confield // VBR V0
[2003]Draft 7.30 // VBR V0

and this continued
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I dont understand how this would be implemented. I downloaded this component and see the below (screenshot) of my Preferences tab. A little guidance would be most appreciated.

..this is all I have:
...............................................................
Preferences Text Tools

Quick Copy Commands

Name                Pattern
Title                   %title%
Artist name       %artist name%
File name          %filename%
.......................................................................

With text tools, it seems to me you really don't need anything resembling coding skills to get what you want. If you set it up the pattern with the specific metadata tags you desire, select skip duplicate/repeating lines, and [Copy] the whole ball of wax from the Results: window. You can paste it into notepad, save it as a text file, and even open / tweak / sort & make it more aesthetic in any spreadsheet program based on the text delimiter you choose.
Neither an audiophile, nor album snob. Why do ratings threads always have someone saying they don't believe in rating music?
