Remote control for foobar2000?

Hi guys, first of all a huge GIGANTIC thank you to all the developers and people involved in foobar2000. For me it is better than any other music player.

I searched around but I am still puzzled if there is a recommended simple remote control app for foobar2000 that will run on Windows or Android.

I have a simple setup, all my music is organized in folders, I don't use tags. I have a fanless PC with foobar2000 installed and I'd like to be able to have a simple UI to navigate the directories on my NAS and just play them.  I don't need  control over options, etc, everything is set up the way I want it.

Thanks for any ideas what is available for this.

You can try FoobarCon (app for Android, free or paid) https://www.google.com/amp/s/audio-file.org/2019/11/15/foobarcon-foobar2000-android-remote-control/amp/. There's also Foobar2000 controller (app for Android, free or paid: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cav.foobar2000controller), or MonkeyMote app.
And another option: https://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_beefweb

There's an app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cav.foobar2000controllerpro

Or, install Microsoft Remote Desktop on your Android device you'll be able to see your foobar2000 desktop on your mobile device. You have to be running Windows Pro version on your server, though. If you use a larger tablet as a remote, this might be enough.

Thanks, I'll look into the app. I am definitely not using Remote Desktop of any kind, it's disabled in services.

Well... but honestly speaking all these Apps are not able to remote all and Foobar Controller is not updated since 2016...
Lyrics don't display anymore.... and other features are not smooth

It should be better to have a new and complete Foobar Remote App developed by the team

...or use a proper server like LMS.

I tried a few options and settled on https://sites.google.com/site/foobarcon/ which is really super. It does everything I wanted. I don't want lyrics, I just want to be able to control my setup remotely and this does exactly what I was looking for.

I tried Squeezebox and Squeezelite today on a development board. It didn't recognize my USB DAC and there was no UI that I could find for that. After some hair pulling with the configs I was able to point it at the device I wanted but it was running everything at 48 KHz which is wrong, and I didn't have more time to resolve it.

I believe that LMS does not do SACD ISO and this is mostly what I use foobar2000 for. So, I'm going with the option I mentioned above and for me it's perfect.

Thanks to everybody in the thread :)

Back in the old ages, I controlled Fb2k with Girder and an IR>USB device. Plus help with some Kode54?-Plugin which allowed to access any function of the player. No idea if all this would be possible today.
