Things added to the Media Library do not appear in Facets and its Libr

Hi,

I have the latest version of Foobar. I'm trying to add new songs to my library but it's not working. I have Foobar scanning one folder where my music are, but after adding new tracks there and forcing a rescan (or restarting Foobar, since it auto-rechecks upon opening Foobar IIRC), but no new tracks are found. I also know at least one track isn't listed in Foobar that was old. Basically, 99% of the tracks I had in my folder when I first installed Foobar display correctly under 'library' in Foobar  But any tracks I add after do not show. I tried going to "files" tab and clicking 'add file' and selecting the track, it simply doesn't work.

What am I doing wrong?
Here is a picture of what my Foobar looks like just in case it helps:

EDIT:
I went to library -> album list and the new tracks are there. But they are not appearing in my library!

did you check: ''rescan on startup'' and ''monitor for changes while running''?

If they're in Album List, then clearly they're in your library.

That big list in the middle of your screen is a playlist, not the library. If it's not an autoplaylist, it will not show new tracks automatically.

File > Add will add things to the current playlist, not the library.

Click on Menu>Library>Album list
When open> Click on>All Music>Create Autoplaylist

Never change name of this playlist.

That should solve the problem..

Look again. That's Facets set to Library mode. It's a single pane with multiple columns of tags and statistics.

@OP:

Look for differences in the scripts used in Album List and all those columns you have in Facets. Using %TAG% versus [%TAG%], for example, will yield different results as the former will return all files regardless of the presence of the tag while the latter will only return files in which the tag is present.

Also, I'd try removing all those columns you have in Facets except for one to see if the "missing" files display. If they do, reconfigure Facets to use more than one pane so that display isn't seemingly contingent upon multiple tags being present in the file.

Thanks, that helped part way. Some of the tracks are now showing up.

The above shows my current situation. I tried to remove the brackets. It's not even under the question mark "album" for all the ones without album listed.
The JT songs didn't pop up in the library view but still shows up in album list.

TBH, I've never seen Facets being used like you're using it, and I don't know what's causing some files to be missing. Did you try what I suggested earlier?

If not, I'd try %filename% or %filename_ext% by itself.

Also, I'd check by disabling any and all of the built-in Facets columns as they cannot be altered.

Yup. Your earlier advice got me most of the songs onto the list.
And thank you again, because I just found how the fix.
The column "album artist" made the 2 final songs disappear. Disabling it and using 'artist' fixed it.

Nobody uses Foobar like me? Seems like the best way to do it, kind of Win-amp style.
