Hello,
I've tried out new(todays) compiles of lame and the 64 bit version bug with not writing the encoder settings + corrupted version string is still here.
Are the developers not reading bugs reported in this thread? Please fix it.
While I am not a lame-dev, I'm not sure I understand your problem. The following is from today's lame bundles, 32 bit and 64 bit:

The lame tag is essentially the same for both.
It's the metadata problem I reported yesterday. Look at the screenshot in Post #129.
