RAR files and sinusoidal cpu usage

WinXP, Foobar 0.62a, Archive Specific

Has anyone else noticed their cpu usage tending toward a sinusoidal pattern after foobar has been playing RAR files for some time (sorry I haven't tested well enough to see if this begins ocurring at a specific time).  For an example of what I mean, see this photo:
(go here if you can't see it)

Note that when I open foobar after a fresh reboot and play a few songs, my CPU usage is practically zero.

This phenomenon seems to have been introduced somewhere in the very final stages of 0.6 beta or maybe in 0.6 final, and has not been remedied (currently 0.62a tested).  Can anyone else confirm?
