Thanks for your reply.

I suppose my main issue is that I would really like to use Foobar2000 and if that means eliminating the SqueezeBox.

The good news is that all my files are flac.  The bad news is that after looking through the code and process to get the SqueezeBox to function, I just would like a more straight forward solution.

Since my knowledge base is clearly dated, I need to probably start over on knowledge and a strategy for hardware to connect a PC to my amp, speakers.

I would say that I am looking for middle of the road solution on par with the SqueezeBox in terms of price.
