Monkey's Audio DLLs for CDex

I don't suppose the Monkey's Audio DLLs for CDex would gain much speed from being recompiled against ICL 7 would they?

If not, I'm interested in using flac or ape and I seem to get better compression from monkey's but I hear flac doesn't break if one block gets broken, it only affects that block. I'm unsure which to go for.

Thanks

Well, you just prompted me to try a compile and check the results!!

Using the standard compile compared to an ICL7 compile, the generated encoded file sizes are absolutely bit identical. That's a good start! The better news is that on my AthlonXP system, the encoding speed is about 15-20% faster.

So, give me a few minutes and I'll upload this compile.

Uploaded and available at 'ogg vorbis' Mirror 1.  You'll find it in the oggdropXPd section under 'dlls'.

John, you are the man!  You do things for me so quickly. I extend my gratitude to you sir!

Have fun and thanks again.

Oh, does the dll add apev2 tags to ape encoded files?

I'm not really the right person to answer this. I think not, but I'd be happy to be told that I'm wrong!
